Beltane - A Greater Sabbat

Beltane - A Greater Sabbat was 'authored' by Moore, and published on Associated Content on April 21, 2010 and also on her Facebook page Witches of Facebook the same day.

After reading the article, and seeing some familiar content, I did some research. Sure enough, entire portions were literally cut & pasted from the original authors, who had the material online. This was brought to Rochelle's attention on her Facebook page, and shortly thereafter she pulled the article from both Associated Content and her Facebook group, denying she had ever written such an article.

From a Facebook conversation, after she deleted her articles:
Rochelle Moore: THANK YOU ALL!!! once again our paths cross in total negativitity.
WTF? what article???? I never wrote an article on this subject!!!
all reported AGAIN for slander, harassment blah blah
have you guys got nothing better to do?
really?

Google has this neat tool. If you type cache:URL - you get the cached version of a page, even if it's been deleted:

Unfortunately the cached page doesn't give you the other pages, but there is enough of her article showing to prove both authorship and existence.

The BELTANE Post Plagiarisms:

"Beltane means fire of Bel; Belinos being one name for the Sun God, whose coronation feast we no celebrate. Beltane is one of the fire festivals celebrating the turning of the wheel of the year. Fire represents change and transformation, renewal, and re-birth."

“When, on May Eve, the Druids raised the Beltane fires on hilltops throughout the British Isles , they were performing a real act of magick, because the fires were lit in order to bring the Sun's light down to earth. RM writes:
"Individual May Poles were draped with ribbons and flowers and danced around. In the days of the ancients it was only the young children who did the dancing. Long ribbons, attached to the top of the pole, usually in pastel Spring colours, were taken up half by the boys, and the other half by the girls. The boys then go clockwise around the pole, and the girls counter-clockwise. They raise their arms and duck under alternately, so as to weave the ribbons tightly around the pole. The children did not just run about, willy-nilly. Quite often they would have a rehearsed dance so that the ribbons, when wound round the pole, would form a pattern. The belief was that the better the pattern, the better the harvest would be that fall."

Rochelle Moore ended her Facebook article with this:

"Today, the Maypole is used by both children and adults and is a wonderfully bright and very ancient tradition.

Happy Beltane and blessed be"

I leave you with Rochelle's own words:
"WTF? what article???? I never wrote an article on this subject!!!
No sharon I did not write it.

A picture, my dear Rochelle, is indeed worth a thousand words.
